VERSION : A04|||You want to put XP on that old Pentium 4 computer. Back in June 2011, about 39% of the world is still using XP with official support scheduled to end in April 2014. Win7 will run slow on that old computer. XP can run "okay" on just 256 meg of RAM. Win7 runs "okay" around 2000 meg (2gigs) RAM.
I doubt that the Dell website would have any Win7 drivers from a GX280. Best operating system is XP for that model and keep doing windows updates until you get to service pack 3. Then it is up to you if you want any more XP updates.|||You need to download and unzip the following file
http://www.techbirdy.com/files/Intel(R)%…
Once you have it do the following;
Open Device Manager then select Standard VGA Adapter.Right Click on it then click “Update Driver Software”, now click on “Browse my computer for driver software”, then click “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”, now click on “Have Disk” then click “Browse” and select the directory where you extracted “Intel(R)-2915G-GV-910GL-techbirdy.com.z… and Click Next.
But I do agree with the above, it will run 7 but it will be slow.
